Doxorubicine Teva is an antineoplastic antibiotic. It works by killing cancer cells.

Important safety information:

Doxorubicine Teva may reduce the number of clot-forming cells in your blood. To prevent bleeding, avoid situations in which bruising or injury may occur. Report any unusual bleeding, bruising, blood in stools, or dark, tarry stools to your doctor.
Doxorubicine Teva may lower your body's ability to fight infection. Prevent infection by avoiding contact with people with colds or other infections. Notify your doctor of any signs of infection, including fever, sore throat, rash, or chills.
Do not receive a live vaccine (eg, measles, mumps) while you are taking Doxorubicine Teva. Talk with your doctor before you receive any vaccine. Doxorubicine Teva may cause the urine to turn red. This is harmless and usually goes away 1 to 2 days after receiving a dose of Doxorubicine Teva. Contact your doctor if this continues or if you notice blood in your urine.
Doxorubicine Teva may cause you to become sunburned more easily. Avoid the sun, sunlamps, or tanning booths until you know how you react to Doxorubicine Teva. Use a sunscreen or wear protective clothing if you must be outside for more than a short time.
Doxorubicine Teva may cause a serious and possibly fatal condition called tumor lysis syndrome (TLS).
