Ocupres is a beta-blocker, prescribed for high blood pressure and to prevent heart pain and recurrence of heart attacks. It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing heart rate.

Ocupres contraindication

Contraindicated in patients with asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiogenic shock and hypersensitivity.

Ocupres dosage

Adult: PO – The recommended dose is 10 mg/day, increase if needed. Maintenance: 10-40 mg/day in 1-2 divided doses. Max: 60 mg/day.

Ocupres usage

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

Ocupres precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of asthma or other lung disease, heart, liver or kidney disease, sugar, severe allergies, muscle pain or cramp, thyroid problem, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
It may cause drowsiness or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking Ocupres.
It may affect blood sugar level, monitor sugar level regularly.
It should not be used in children.

Body As A Whole - Headache, weakness/fatigue and chest pain.
Heart - Slow heart rate, abnormal heart rhythm, low/high blood pressure, fainting, heart block, stroke, cerebral heart attack, heart failure, worsening of chest pain, palpitations, lung swelling, swelling in the extremities, claudication, raynaud's phenomenon and cold hands and feet.
Gastrointestinal - Nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, loss of appetite and dry mouth.
Central Nervous System - Dizziness, increase in signs and symptoms of myasthenia gravis, tingiling, drowsiness, sleeplessness, abnormal dreams, behavioral changes, depression, confusion, hallucinations, anxiety, disorientation, nervousness and memory loss.
Skin - Hair loss and rash.
Hypersensitivity - Shock, hives, localized and generalized rash.
Respiratory - Asthma, respiratory failure, difficulty in breathing, nasal congestion, cough and upper respiratory infections.
Metabolic - Low blood sugar.
Eye and ENT - Eye inflammation/ pain, discharge, foreign body sensation, itching, tearing, dry eyes, visual disturbances and ringing in the ear.
Genitourinary - Decreased sexual activity, impotence and Peyronie's disease.
