Treating and preventing ulcers. It is also used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and to treat and maintain healing of erosive esophagitis. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.
Axid solution is a histamine H₂antagonist. It works by reducing acid in the stomach by blocking one of the chemicals (histamine) that stimulates the production of stomach acid.

Axid solution may cause dizziness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to Axid solution.
