Acido Alendronico Rimafar dosing
Usual Adult Dose for Osteoporosis:
70 mg orally once weekly or 10 mg orally once daily. For glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis: 5 mg once daily or 10 mg once daily for postmenopausal women not receiving estrogen.
Usual Adult Dose for Paget's Disease:
40 mg orally once a day. Therapy for Paget's disease should continue for 6 months and may need to be repeated for another 6 months if relapse occurs.

In rare cases, this medicine may cause bone Acido Alendronico Rimafar (osteonecrosis) in the jaw. Symptoms include jaw pain or numbness, red or swollen gums, loose teeth, or slow healing after dental work. The longer you use Acido Alendronico Rimafar, the more likely you are to develop this condition.
Osteonecrosis of the jaw may be more likely if you have cancer or received chemotherapy, radiation, or steroids. Other risk factors include blood clotting disorders, anemia (low red blood cells), and a pre existing dental problem.
